Did You Make a New Year's Work Resolution?

What would a new year be without making resolutions to change a workplace habit, behavior, or even career path?

Examples to consider include focusing more on time management; making more of an effort to get to know our co-workers and colleagues better; thinking about doing (or encouraging) volunteer work; or taking an actual vacation, as opposed to a "stay-cation," where the ease of logging in to our work computers may be too tempting for our own good.

Other ideas for resolutions may entail some "outside the box" thinking: becoming a better listener; being more "mindful" or "in the moment" at work; even reconnecting or mending fences with a friend or colleague we may have lost touch with.

Above all, we might do well to home in on one or two realistic goals for 2015, instead of tackling a broader list.
