Obamacare Not Out of the Woods Yet

This is the year when the penalty for not having health insurance kicks in, and along with that deadline will inevitably arrive a load of red tape, paperwork, and no shortage of confusion. So reports The Wall Street Journal.

On top of that, about 800,000 participants who signed up last year through the federal exchange and received tax credits to offset the cost of their coverage were sent statements containing incorrect information about the size of their tax credits. To add insult to injury for anyone trying to navigate the ACA’s already complicated waters, the U.S. Supreme Court will begin hearing arguments in March from the most recent legal challenge to the law, which directly addresses the federal and state subsidies.

If the challenge is successful, millions of people who have purchased health insurance could find themselves without it in Year 3.
