United Arab Emirates' HR Department Partners with LinkedIn

A memorandum of understanding between the UAE Government's Federal Authority for Human Resources and online network LinkedIn will allow the two entities to work toward helping tens of thousands of federal employees join the professional network and create profiles. So reports Zawya.

The agreement is the first of its kind between LinkedIn and a governmental entity in the region. After LinkedIn launched its Arabic version, millions of professionals who speak Arabic signed up to connect with those using the network, according to the story.

"The UAE Government is leading the way in the region in adopting digital engagement models with their stakeholders," says Ali Matar, Head of LinkedIn Talent Solutions, MENA."

We are proud of the opportunity to work with them to support their digitalization efforts. With the Federal Authority for Human Resources now bringing more than 90,000 UAE federal government employees online onto LinkedIn, we believe that our platform will drive relevance to the members in newer ways, and directly complement the efforts of the Authority.”
