Which Direction Will HR Go?

There is a raging debate regarding the future of Human Resources says Dave Hoff, chief operating officer and executive VP of leadership development at EASI Consult. Some argue HR needs to start over from scratch, while others advocate splitting it into administrative and strategic subgroups.

Still others say its best to build on the recent progress and developments in HR and elevate it into a more prominent role within companies. So reports Wilmington Biz.

Hoff says much depends on the size and needs of the business. Some companies will work toward outsourcing administrative functions and investing in talent management, but to varying degrees depending on their particular situation. Ultimately, the future of HR seems to be at a crossroad, with every company carefully considering a number of options.
