Glassdoor Ranks Best Jobs for Work-Life Balance

“Work-life balance,” “job flexibility” and related concepts are popular memes in the HR universe these days. In fact, average work-life balance satisfaction, as determined by upwards of 60,000 employee reviews nationwide, has been decreasing incrementally since 2009. So reports Fox Business.

The corporate review site Glassdoor has compiled a list of the 25 best jobs in terms of work-life balance. At the top of the list: Data Scientist, with a 4.2/5.0 work-life balance rating. That was closely followed by SEO (search engine optimization) Manager, at 4.1, and Talent Acquisition Specialist, coming in at 4.0 on the balance scale.

Average salaries and available job openings for the 25 entries vary quite a bit. Some of the diverse finalists on the list (some more surprising than others) were: Social Media Manager; Substitute Teacher; UX Designer; Marketing Assistant; Risk Analyst; Civil Engineer; Client Manager; Research Technician; Content Manager; and Lab Assistant.

Glassdoor’s requirements for jobs that made the cut are fairly stringent.
