HR Managers Look Toward 2016

Complying with changes in employment law is among some of the chief concerns of HR professionals, according to the South Carolina Society for Human Resource Management conference presented by Nexsen Pruet. So reports JD Supra Business Adviser.

Upcoming changes to the Fair Labor Standards Act overtime rules, the Americans with Disabilities Act and Obamacare are among some of the other concerns heading into 2016, the report reads. Several other concerns were cited, but "by far the top HR challenge expected for 2016 relates to recruiting and retaining qualified employees."

The article lists some suggestions for recruiting and retention as well as some interesting excuses employees have given for absence or lateness, which was cited as the top reason for discipline or termination.
