Microsoft to Lay Off 1,000

Microsoft is cutting 1,000 jobs as a result of its latest round of layoffs. So reports the Puget Sound Business Journal.

The company announced nearly 8,000 layoffs earlier this year and a $7.6 billion write-off related to the Nokia division. Last year the company let 18,000 employees go.

However, following its recent earnings report, Microsoft shares jumped to a 15 year high.
