In the Office, Bad Habits Nab Attention for All the Wrong Reasons

A few bad habits at work could sound the alarm for management to take a closer look at employee conduct, and that could snowball into more intense scrutiny and even termination. So reports Forbes.

Being aware of one's negative traits could help mitigate some of the damage, though. “One of the best pieces of advice to give to someone who wants to advance in their company is to become more self-aware and be sure they are practicing habits that will be of value to the company,” says Rick Myers, the founder and chief executive of Talent Zoo, a site for marketing, advertising, and digital professionals.

Forbes helped identify some common negative behaviors that get employees noticed for all the wrong reasons. They include procrastination, lying and poor email communication.
