To that end, the author of a recent Business Insider article offers some do’s and don’ts for prospective interns in terms of interview questions. By all means, candidates should feel free to ask about:
- Skills and abilities necessary to succeed in the position
- If hired, how they can achieve a top performance review
- How they can best serve the company
- What else they can answer that the interviewer may not have touched on
- What, if anything, they can provide the interviewer when they follow up
To not spoil their chances, interviewees should avoid asking about time off, schedule accommodations or benefits. Better to focus on the employer and the position at hand.
