Company Execs Worry About Cyber Security Threat Posed By Employees

Company executives are increasingly worried about internal threats to cyber security. They note that employee background checks are the most important security control, even more than software and physical security measures. So reports Claims Journal.

According to the First Advantage 2015 Cybersecurity Survey, 60% of the respondents identified employee background screening as the most important security measure, while anti-malware ranked as a top priority for 53% of respondents. Physical access and security measures were favored by 39% of those included in the survey. The story also notes 700 million compromised records led to $400 million in losses in 2015.
