An unprecedented number of jobs are being created in the country, which is not only encouraging Chinese living overseas to return, but also reducing the desire of current residents to leave. Job growth is happening in the e-commerce, online entertainment, finance and smart manufacturing spaces.
These findings are based on a new report put out by Boston Consulting Group, The Network, Zhaopin and ChinaHR, which polled 366,000 workers in 197 countries.
"This study reflects and reinforces the changing trends we have been observing in China's workplace for the past half-decade," says Eugene Sun, Zhaopin's head of strategy and corporate development. "[The] survey indicates that the largest obstacles overseas returnees are facing is their lack of knowledge about recruiting trends and opportunities in China."
