Male CEOs Grapple with Squeezing In Family Time

Missing their kids’ afternoon soccer games and recitals is taking a toll on male CEOs. So reports Dow Jones Business News.

While CEOs’ work-life balance often focuses on women, male CEOs deal with their own challenges in trying to make time for the family. Dow Jones interviewed 25 male CEOs, including many who acknowledged missing out on family events and who are trying to change.

“Your kids are only young once, and you can’t get that moment back. If I have any regrets it’s that one,” said 55-year-old Dan Glaser, CEO of Marsh & McLennan Cos. “When you’re younger, you have this sense of your own immortality and you’ll always be able to catch up.”
