Malaysian Gov’t Says No to Foreigner-Focused Recruiters

Malaysia's government will no longer allow third-party recruiters to search for foreign workers starting next year. So reports HRM Asia.

The government's HR Ministry's private employment agency will replace those recruiters. The move was applauded by the Malaysian Employers Federation with its executive director, Shamsuddin Bardan saying it will make recruiting "easier and quicker."

SME Association of Malaysia president Datuk Michael Kang also offered praise, noting that cutting out third party recruitment firms will give small- and mid-sized enterprises greater say over hiring.
