Think Social Media is Just for Millennials? Think Again

Hiring managers have become accustomed to checking out potential hires' Facebook pages and Twitter accounts and, increasingly, their LinkedIn profiles.

Unlike some of its social media counterparts, LinkedIn is intended for professional use as a networking resource. As such, it's become very popular with job-seekers, many of whom now fall into what used to be considered more-or-less standard retirement age.

One particularly innovative program for the 50+ crowd was developed by none other than AARP – in partnership with LinkedIn.
