The Sept. 19 sentencing follows a June trial where Lewis T. Watkins was convicted of misdemeanor counts of stalking and issuing terroristic threats to the Manheim Township company’s HR director in September and October last year.
Prosecutors played back more than 12 voicemail messages Watkins had left for the HR director. Watkins, 61, had threatened to come to his former employer’s worksite or the HR director’s home and said he would commit an act that would “make the news,” according to trial testimony. The HR director was not working for Watkins’ former employer when Watkins was fired in 2012, the district attorney’s office noted.
