How One Employer Cuts Down on Turnover

A Fort Wayne, Indiana, hospital system has come up with a way to cut down on first-year turnover, help its employees stay more engaged and to decrease labor costs. So reports Modern Healthcare.

The nine hospitals that are part of Parkview Health provided managers with a so-called toolkit with periodic check-ins going beyond 90 days, responses they could use to address common concerns on retention and how they could devise an effective process for its more than 10,000 workers.

The toolkit gives managers an important head start, said Dena Jacquay, chief human resources officer at Parkview. “It also helps Parkview ensure that key milestones are handled consistently across the system.”
