Top Women HR Execs Reveal Keys to Successful Recruitment

Effective recruitment programs don’t have to be a huge drain on the budget and don’t necessarily mean enticing employees with perks, such as ping pong tables and catered meals. So reports Authority Magazine.

Instead, what will keep employees wanting to stay is "leadership transparency and to know that [employees] have the ability to do their best work for an ethical company that knows they matter," says Amelia Ransom, senior director of engagement and diversity at Avalara. And “those things don't cost a dime.”

Rose M. Velez-Smith, global vice president of human resources at Pitney Bowes, says stretching work assignments, offering career paths that encourage individual growth and fostering a culture of inclusiveness are important for her. “Everyone wants to feel like they are adding value, so including employees in important decisions and initiatives is key,” she says. “Helping them feel confident in their skills and keeping them current is essential.”
