India Conglomerate Raises Bar On Women's Workplace Rights

Tata Sons is making its workplace policies more women-friendly, including seven months paid maternity leave and18 months of half pay, half workday following birth. So reports the Economic Times.

Women who reach their five-year work anniversary can take one-year leave at half their pay if they a caregiver at home. The change only applies to Tata Sons, the holding company for Tata Group, but the expectation is that other companies under the Tata umbrella will adopt the same benefits.
